To all our Leaving Certificate Class of 2026 — the hard work is done.
As Results Day approaches, try not to let the nerves take over. Whatever appears on the screen on Friday morning, take a moment, breathe and be proud of everything it took to get you here.
📅 Results Day – Friday 21 August
Leaving Certificate results will be available on the Candidate Self Service Portal from 10.00am on Friday 21 August.
🏫 St. Wolstan’s will be open from 12.00–1.00pm on Friday for any student who would like support, advice or simply a chat about their results and next steps.
Please come in and talk to us. You don't have to have everything figured out on Friday.
💭 Sometimes the road has a few detours…
As you wait for Results Day, take some inspiration from Irish Olympian Rhasidat Adeleke.
Sometimes there are detours in the plans we make. Sometimes everything works out exactly as we'd hoped. And sometimes there are moments when we genuinely think we're “cooked”! 😅
But a change in plan doesn't mean the end of the plan.
Gratitude, resilience and hard work matter — and there is rarely only one route to where you want to go.

💙 On Friday, remember…
✨ Your results are important, but they don't define you.
✨ Celebrate what went well.
✨ If something didn't go as hoped, don't panic.
✨ Don't make rushed decisions in the first few minutes after seeing your results.
✨ Talk to your family, Guidance Counsellor and teachers.
✨ There are different routes to almost every destination.
The hard work is done. The future awaits.
There is a process for accessing your marks, viewing your scripts and, if appropriate, appealing a result. The timelines are very short, so please take note of these dates.
📊 Tuesday 25 August – 12 noon
Your component marks and adjusted marks will become available through the Candidate Self Service Portal.
👀 Apply to View Your Scripts
Applications open at 5.00pm Tuesday 25 August and close at 8.00pm Wednesday 26 August.
✅ Viewing your examination scripts is free of charge.
📄 Viewing of Scripts – Saturday 29 August
Most online-marked scripts will be available through the Candidate Self Service Portal from:
9.00am Saturday 29 August → 9.00am Sunday 30 August
Some manually marked scripts must be viewed in school. Students who apply will be allocated a session on Saturday 29 August.
📣 Appealing a Result
Appeal applications open:
➡️ 10.00am Sunday 30 August
and close:
⛔ 5.00pm Monday 31 August
The appeal fee is €40 per Leaving Certificate subject and €15.50 per Leaving Certificate Applied subject. The fee is refunded if the appeal is successful.
⚠️ Please pay particular attention to these deadlines. Late applications will not be accepted.
An appeal involves your examination being reviewed by an appeal examiner who was not involved in the original marking. The appeal examiner reviews the marking of each part of each question against the marking scheme.
Please note that the Post Marking Adjustment itself cannot be appealed.
📅 Appeal results are provisionally scheduled for Friday 25 September.
If you are considering an appeal, please seek advice and make sure you understand your marks before making your decision.
