TY Blog Awards 2011

Transition Years have been celebrating this December as they have received not just one but 2 awards for their St Wolstan's TY Blog! The first was on Tuesday, 13th December, when they were awarded the overall winner of Best Project in the Terra Spiders Category (TY - 6th Year) at the Eircom Junior Spiders Award. Sarah Kelly, Leah Redmond and Sarah D along with Mrs. Leahy were presented with the award at a ceremony in the Helix Theatre in DCU. The judges reported that their use of numerous media e.g. video and their useful information about TY gave them reason to choose the TY blog. Next, was the award for Best Class Blog in which TY's were voted as finalists, on Wednesday, 14th December. This is an international blog award and was decided by votes, not judges.Both awards are very prestigious and all of TY worked very hard on the main blog and their individual blogs so well done to everyone.
