Green Schools Tree Planting.

On Thursday, 2nd of April, the Green Schools Committee successfully planted two trees outside in the green area behind the memorial garden. The trees include a Native Irish Oak and Mountain Ash.
With the help and guidance of the Green School prefects Hazel McGuiness and Emma McCluskey, outgoing prefects Aisling Nolan and Kayleigh Smith, and Mr.Kiely and Ms.Kirrane, our committee has already been awarded two Green Flags and now is hopefully looking forward to a third. This planting was very rewarding as the committee has been working very hard all year.
In the coming few weeks we plan to have a tree planted for every class in this school year, which will be memorable for all the students in each class.
Thanks to every one especially Paddy and Robert, our caretakers, who helped with the tree planting.
