TY Swim a Mile

On Monday 26th April TY classes Selam and Desta took part in the annual ‘Ian Daly Swim a Mile With a Smile’. The swim is held each year to raise money for Barretstown and also Our Lady’s Hospital, Crumlin.Thirty-six of the girls took part in the swim and eleven of them completed the mile on their own. All together, twenty-seven and a half miles were covered which topped last years total of twenty-four. An amazing achievement was made by Niamh Tallon, who swam over 2 miles on the day and 5 miles at the weekend. After completing the charity swim, the girls were allowed into the slides, the surf machine and the wave pool. All of the girls are now busy collecting their sponsorship money and recovering from the tiresome day!
