Soroptimist International Public Speaking Competition.
On Monday the 9th of February 2010 two 5 year students Róisín Hayden and Finola O’Sullivan took part in the 1st round of the Soroptimist International Public Speaking Competition. They each delivered their 6 minute speeches for the North Kildare Soroptimist group. They then went on to represent North Kildare in the regional final on the 20th of February, in the Council Offices in Naas. Ten speakers from all over Leinster competed. The girls delivered their speeches once again in addition to a two minute impromptus speech of the topic ‘Tiger’. Both girls performed excellently, with Róisín making it through to the National Finals in Tralee on the 6th of March. Well done to the girls on their achievements!
