Athletic Success for St. Wolstan's

On the 27th of Jan a bus full of St. Wolstan's girls headed of for DCU to compete in a large cross country get together for schools from Meath to Naas! We arrived on the nick of time with the 1st years running to the start line with Mr. Lawlor. In the mean time the rest of us were supporting the girls and the Salesians boys! One by one the groups were ticked off, 1st year girls, Juniors, Intermediate and Seniors. We had great triumphs in the Inter Category with Chloe Abbot coming in11th place. The seniors did just as well missing by just one place for a bronze trophy. The girls ran brilliantly over all. And let’s not forget the hot chocolate tradition by Sarah Burke, getting her dad to bring hot chocolate and muffins for a cosy after race snack! From all the girls involved in Cross country we would like to thank Mr. Lawlor and Mrs. Mc Hale for the dedication to the team and the training!
