5th Year London Trip
This weekend history was made when 40 fifth year students took to the sky. Destination London!!! Having experienced ‘a standard procedure’-where is the runway?! At Stansted we were glad to arrive safely at the exquisite homeliness of Baden Powell Hostel. The lovely Liz regaled us with tales of her cities history. From the tower of London to the London eye we took extensive notes. Ms. Cosgrove seemed to believe that she could have done a better job as the tour guide, which we know is true! Our tour of the Globe was fascinating, revealing interesting facts about the life of the Bard J next stop-WESTEND!!! We were bowled over and bamboozeled by the sheer scope of this massive production, Wicked. Telling the story before the story of the Wizard of Oz. Sunday included a whistle stop tour of the Natural History Museum, Covent Garden and a quick trip down the river Thames. The Wollies girls represented themselves with the usual frolic-filled aplomb. The teachers were pretty damn good too!!……..Many thanks to all involved and a special tribute to Ms. Kavanagh-Bracken.
